American-Palestinian Youth Freed Following 270 Days in Israel's Imprisonment

An American-Palestinian teenager who spent a nine-month period in imprisonment by Israel without charge has been freed.
Mohammed Ibrahim had just turned 15 when he was arrested last February in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, while he was vacationing on holiday from Florida for allegedly throwing stones toward Israeli settlers, which he previously denied.
United States authorities applauded Mohammed's liberation.
Currently aged sixteen, required hospitalization upon gaining freedom, family members reported.
Family described him as showing signs of malnutrition, and is suffering from conditions contracted in captivity.
Via family representatives, Mohammed's uncle expressed the family's "immense relief".
Zeyad Kadur described how relatives endured "enduring a dreadful, continuous nightmare" during the entire detention period.
"Currently, we are focused on providing Mohammed with the immediate medical attention he requires after experiencing harsh conditions and brutal treatment over several months."
The state department announced ongoing to provide consular support to Mohammed's family.
{"The Trump Administration gives utmost importance than the safety and security of US citizens"," the department emphasized.
A group of American legislators endorsed a document to diplomatic officials and the administration, requesting additional efforts to secure his release.
The father, parent of four children managing a frozen treats business in Florida, previously claimed his son only confessed regarding stone throwing after being assaulted by soldiers.
There were no visits nor direct contact following the detention, and only heard what had happened to him in detention through court documents.
The teenager remained absent formal charges within Ofer penitentiary throughout the occupied territory.
