Over a fortnight after the tragic deaths of celebrated film director Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community persist in remembering the pair.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Pays Tribute to His Director

Writing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he finally felt able to express about his profound loss.

"Enough time has passed that I can at last put my grief into words," posted Elwes, saying that his introductory moment with Reiner left him smitten. "As we began sharing more moments together I knew this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor shared never-before-seen clips from the movie, remarking that he doesn't recollect "one day without mirth".

"The film is about affection, allegiance and giving. Principles that Rob held dear. Which is among the many reasons he was the ideal person to guide it," Elwes wrote.

He additionally honored Michele Reiner, stating: "Asserting that they were a incredible duo would be an oversimplification. My heart still hurts every time I remember you." He concluded with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Fellow Artist

In a separate tribute, legendary director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a instant connection for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's cameo appearance in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the protagonist.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked seamlessly with his co-stars, and he grasped the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese noted.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Withheld

In a new development, a Los Angeles judge ruled to block the disclosure of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, following a petition from the LAPD.

A legal directive put a security hold on the files to prohibit the public release of "any investigative information, evidence and photographs" connected to the active case.

The Medical Examiner's office had already determined their deaths were the result of foul play, with a record citing the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Following the killings, public personalities expressed varying comments.

Former President Donald Trump posted on the matter, providing provocative statements that were met with immediate backlash by many public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan added his voice to the those speaking out recently. Talking on his show, Rogan characterized the statements as "disappointing" and remarked they showed a troubling absence of compassion.

Rogan concluded by proposing that an adviser could have stepped in when the decision to speak on the death was made.
