On Monday, the court was told communication data and data recovered from phones documented Ms Wandelt persistently demanding Madeleine's mother for a DNA test over that period.

Madeleine's case in 2007 - as a three-year-old during a trip in Portugal - is considered the most widely reported child disappearance cases and continues to be unsolved.

'I Am Not Seeking Money'

A separate recorded message, played in court, captured Ms Wandelt saying: "I know I'm heavy and not pretty like Madeleine used to be, but I know what I know."

While one recording of Ms Wandelt's monologues with Mrs McCann's answerphone said: "Imagine there is a small chance that I'm her? Then what? Isn't that crucial for you?"

"I do not need money, I maintain a living here in Poland, I simply desire to know," the recording stated.

The jury was told that through emails, mobile messages and communications, Ms Wandelt asked for a genetic test, forwarded childhood photos to her phone in a effort to show a similarity to Mrs McCann's missing daughter, and claimed to have "memories" from a childhood with the McCanns.

Robert Jones, an intelligence analyst with the police force who gathered the information, informed the court there "showed no any responses" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt furthermore communicated with close associates of the McCanns, according to the call data.

On 9 October 2024, the father answered a phone call from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, stating she had "incorrect contact information."

That day Ms Wandelt left a voicemail on Mrs McCann's recording declaring "I will persist and I plan to establish my point."

The trial ongoing.
