The children's author David Walliams dropped by longtime publisher.
Acclaimed young adult author and comedian David Walliams is no longer with his UK book publisher, the company has said.
A representative for the publisher said: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the move was made after an review of allegations of questionable actions directed at women.
The publisher has not elaborated on the reasons for its decision, noting: "It is not our policy to discuss confidential company decisions."
A Prolific Literary Career
Walliams ranks among Britain's most prolific writers for young readers, having sold over six tens of millions of copies internationally in dozens of tongues.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins in 2008.
A number of his works, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.
He has published more than 40 books altogether, including a holiday title named *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins this past October.
From Screen to Page
His initial claim to fame came on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE several years ago in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
The publisher's decision comes after the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss in October.
